"If you can give your son or daughter only one gift,
let it be enthusiasm."

 I want to start off by apologizing for this webpage.  The photos are not in any specific order and pretty much all meshed together!  But, I wanted to get this out before I have another webpage to do.  With Derek coming home for his 2 week R&R on Saturday, Jayla's birthday and lots of family time the camera will be busy!

Yes - you heard right!  Derek is coming home on Saturday.  We are so happy and have tried to keep busy the past couple weeks.  Although we wish he was home for good, we will enjoy every moment of the time he is home, and deal with the next 6 months later!

We made it through the holidays although with Derek gone, my mom having surgery to fix a detached retina & my nephew endured 3rd degree burns we were not in the Christmas spirit as years past.  But we are already talking about how great this Christmas will be!

Oakley is still a crazy, wild and goofy kid who needs a haircut super bad.  I know it's bad when he tells me he needs a haircut.  I decided he will grow it out to be "hockey" hair but I have been told that "rat-tails" are not included in that style. :)

Jayla turns "2" on Tuesday and she continues to be a happy, cheese-eating, finger snapping, baby rocking, hat wearing, dancing, mother hen.  She likes to talk to Daddy on Skype.  Although they don't really talk as much as they stick their tongues out at each other and pick their noses.  Great parenting (DEREK!)

I want to again send out a HUGE Thank you to all my family and friends who keep us busy and check up on us.  I {heart} you guys very much.

I continue to work with children providing occupationaly therapy as well as my photography business that has brought me so much fullfillment & smiles.  www.simplytakenbytrudy.com

Enjoy the webpage...Even more...enjoy life and laughter...

Love, Derek, Trudy, Maggie, Oakley & Jayla
